There are 2 easy ways to get your apps installed from here and I will list both, good sir! So gather round and pay attention. both steps require this initial step however, but you only need to do it a single time.

Allowing "Unknown Sources"

Go to Settings -->Unknown Sources and tick the box. Done!

Now the 1st method works best for when the game or app is small in question as it involves emailing yourself the application/game. Not great for those large games but a quick and wireless way to get those smaller apps onto your device. The 2nd method is better for those larger applicaions or if you want to get ready to install loads of apps.

The Email Method

Get the app game downloaded.  After that unzip the files if needed and find the .apk file for the application you wish to install.  Now get to your email (gmail works best I find) and just email yourself the .apk via attaching it to an email.

Now get on your phone and after a short while you will get an email through from yourself. Open the email and click on the attachment. You will be asked then if you would like to install it so go ahead. Either read what it tells you or just click Okay or Yes and it will carry on to install the application. Done!

The USb Transfer Method

Download the apps and games you want. These need to be unzipped (if so) so they are in the .apk format. Get on your android device, and get to the market. Search for "Astro File Manager" and proceed to download and let the app install its self. This will be your "My Computer" of the Android world. There are now various other programs that can do this such as EStrong File Explorer (just search the market for file manager). Plug your Android device into the USb cable and connect to your PC. Here you might have to select "Turn on USb storage" on the pull down notification bar. Copy/Cut paste the .APKs onto the root of the SD card (found on My Computer, usually its "Removable disk E":wink:.

When the files have been pasted onto the SD card via the USb either disable USb storage mode or unplug the cable. Now load up Astro File Manager (or whatever) and navigate to where you pasted the .APK files, when you have found then press on them and hit "Open App Manager" and finally press install. Should be fine and dandy, all installed. Should work for games and apps alike.

Now, there might be some times where the game you downloaded comes with whats called an .Obb folder. With this you need to copy and paste this over to your android device to the directory Android --> Obb and paste the entire folder here. They usually have a folder name of "com.sega.sonicdash" or something similar. Proceed then to paste over the .apk file and run it.

--== FAQ ==--

Q. Do I need to root to be able to play games and use apps off IPT?
A. Nope, not at all.  A very few select games will require the use of certain apps that will need root access, but these are far and few.

Q. Why all this root talk then?
A. Rooting your device is only really recommended for the Geeky.  Rooting enables you to overclock your phone for improved performance, under-clock it for extra battery life and Install new "ROMS" which totally change the feel of your phone, along with a fair few other features.

Q. I WANT ROOT!
A. Google XDA followed by your android device and learn yourself.  That way if it does go wrong you will be in a much better position to fix it.

Q. I want to cheat and get extra coins/gold/gems/points in this generic, like all the others, build a town game.  Give me!
A. 2 years ago it was easy to do this, now days its allot harder as these games want constant communication with the internet.  best way to find out is to just google it rather than making a thread.
